Global Cooling?

I woke up this morning and it was snowing! That’s right, it was snowing in October. Maybe if I start a bunch of international hysteria about “global cooling” and then make a movie about it I’ll win a Nobel Prize in 2010.

Since Nobel Prizes are now apparently given out for promises of future accomplishments, I’ll just post this to my blog and expect to win – sweet!

Happy Earth Day

Today was garbage day so we put out our trash and a recycle bin full of recyclables. About 15 minutes later a giant gust of wind blew the recycle bin over and most of it’s contents were carried quickly out of sight by the wind. Such perfect timing for earth day. Perhaps next week, we’ll put the recyclables in the trash can since it has a  lid.

Obama the Messiah of Holy Appeasement

Today, the great Messiah Barack Obama was speaking to his eco-indoctrinated Oregonian flock and said this:

We can’t drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times … and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK

As soon as I heard this, I simply couldn’t contain my laughter. This is the epitome of appeasement! Demanding that we change our ways because the Chinese and the Queen’s “subjects” don’t approve? Deriding our diet and driving habits because the French think we should reduce our carbon footprint? Excuse me, since when did we care what foreign countries think about our lifestyle? With China and India using more and more energy, this type of attitude will lead directly toward American decline, but that makes sense. Obama and his liberal disciples will pursue a policy designed to undermine national security, appease brutal murderous dictators, and sell out the American people. This is exactly what I expect from a liberal like Obama, and if we elect him as our next president, then we will get exactly what we deserve.

In the mean time, I’m going to keep on driving my SUV and be incredibly lazy about recycling. I think I might burn some more plastic bottles too!

Happy Earth Day

I’ve got more food for the landfill this year. This time its about 14 bags of garbage full of bottles, plastic, chemicals, batteries and those little plastic soda can rings. It was the least I could do since I can’t attend my buddy’s Earth Day BYOG (bring your own gas) Styrofoam and Tire Fire in Californistan.

Happy Earth Day

I’ve got more food for the landfill =D

When T’s laptop finally died (after I stepped on it) we used it to practice our dart throwing skills. The darts made interesting patterns on impact with the liquid crystal! lol.

An Inconvenient Truth About Hypocrisy

House 1:

The four-bedroom home was planned so that “every room has a relationship with something in the landscape that’s different from the room next door. Each of the rooms feels like a slightly different place.” The resulting single-story house is a paragon of environmental planning.

The passive-solar house is built of honey-colored native limestone and positioned to absorb winter sunlight, warming the interior walkways and walls of the 4,000-square-foot residence.

Geothermal heat pumps circulate water through pipes buried 300 feet deep in the ground. These waters pass through a heat exchange system that keeps the home warm in winter and cool in the summer. A 25,000-gallon underground cistern collects rainwater gathered from roof urns; wastewater from sinks, toilets, and showers cascades into underground purifying tanks and is also funneled into the cistern. The water from the cistern is then used to irrigate the landscaping around the four-bedroom home, (which) uses indigenous grasses, shrubs, and flowers to complete the exterior treatment of the home. In addition to its minimal environmental impact, the look and layout of the house reflect one of the paramount priorities: relaxation.

A spacious 10-foot porch wraps completely around the residence and beckons the family outdoors. With few hallways to speak of, family and guests make their way from room to room either directly or by way of the porch. “The house doesn’t hold you in. Where the porch ends there is grass. There is no step-up at all.”

This house consumes 25% of the energy of an average American home.

(Source: Cowboys and Indians Magazine, Oct . 2002 and Chicago Tribune April 2001.)

House 2:

This 20-room, 8-bathroom house consumes more electricity every month than the average American household uses in an entire year.

The average household in America consumes 10,656 kilowatt-hours (kWh) per year, according to the Department of Energy. In 2006, this house devoured nearly 221,000 kWh, more than 20 times the national average. Last August alone, the house burned through 22,619 kWh, guzzling more than twice the electricity in one month than an average American family uses in an entire year.

As a result of this energy consumption, the average monthly electric bill topped $1,359. Also, natural gas bills for this house and guest house averaged $1,080 per month last year. In total, this house had nearly $30,000 in combined electricity and natural gas bills for 2006.

(Source: just about anywhere in the news last month online and on talk radio, but barely on TV.)

The Inconvenient Truth:

House 1 belongs to George and Laura Bush, and is in Crawford, Texas.

House 2 belongs to Al and Tipper Gore, and is in Nashville, Tennessee.

Here is what Snopes has to say about this little gem: http://www.snopes.com/politics/bush/house.asp

My Two Cents:

Al Gore’s mansion doesn’t bother me one bit. If he wants to own a place that burns up tons of energy and fly on private jets (and he is rich enough to afford the associated expenses) then so be it. He has every right to do so. What upsets me is the fact that he is a [expletive deleted] hypocrite for insisting that we change our ways to “save” the environment. Keep on preaching “chubby nut case” Al Gore. I’m going to feed the landfill all of my bottles and plastic just because you told me not to.

Killer Meat-Eating Frogs Terrorize San Francisco

From: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,258519,00.html

“Meat-eating killer frogs have invaded a pond in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park, leaving environmentalists wondering how to stop their deadly march before they move on to bigger waters. The African clawed frogs have chomped through everything from turtles to fish in Lily Pond, near the California Academy of Sciences, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.”

ROFLMAO. Those moronic liberal vegan SF animal weirdos must feel totally powerless when one of their shining beacons of environmental conservation is threatened by something other than a human. And most of all… the threat EATS MEAT and can’t be brainwashed into doing otherwise!!!!! Oh noes!

clawed_frog_jpg.jpg

Update:
So the animal nazis won’t kill the frogs (the easiest solution) because it would offend their demiurge PETA, but they have no problem killing a polar bear cub that was rejected by its mother. Stupid hypocrites.
